OK Fender, we can all see the girl in your promo video is a blonde, but you could have given her a guitar with strings on it!

Hi strings10927,

I don't have any information regarding this person in this specific portion of this video. But I would like to respectfully say to you as an active member of this Forum that I think it would be great if you continued participating in more productive discussions that help yourself and others as well as help improve the products we are discussing here through feedback and feature requests that all are free to offer. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

It's all good. And I still have no details on this one. But sometimes things aren't exactly as they appear.

Cheers,

Well, this angle it clearly shows that the guitar she's holding has/had strings....
http://myweb.accessus.net/~johnlark/xfe ... trings.jpg

Then from this angle the strings seem to be missing...
http://myweb.accessus.net/~johnlark/xfe ... ingsno.jpg

and still appear missing here...

HD video is great except for when they reveal what someone thought would be lost in the resulting resolution.

I think the guitar has strings in all the shots, and the lighting plus the color of the fretboard and pickguard is making it look like no strings.

Look at the low 'E' string above the pickguard and right next to her left hand fingers, you can see it a little

Watch the video fullscreen @720p. You can see the strings between the bridge and the bridge pickup.

Yeah, I noticed this a while back. The strings are always on the guitar, it's just the lighting and the bright color of the maple fingerboard that makes them seem invisible. Look at the bridge area in a few of the shots, you can still faintly see the strings there.

The strings on her guitar are the new super duper extra ultra light gauge 6-32 strings developed my the makers of the slinky,(the strings are so thin that you can barely see them),you can do a string bend for example from the high E to low E,just about the whole width of the guitar neck!
