Guess what??? The problem came back! Guess when??? During my last friday night gig! The light on my Exp went red while on expression mode but never came back to green. I turned my amp off and on and I has the same problem as before :(
When I came back home, I tried again but the problem was gone
Looks like I have an intermittent problem thatbwill haunt me while gigging. I'm starting to hate these electronic piece of ... amp. Equipment needs to be reliable while gigging and mine's not. During the same gig, my MS4 froze on me after using the tuner. Nothing happened when I was pushing the buttons. I had to reset the amp.

Still love the sound and versatility though but I'm affraid for my next gig!
Hope something can be done "firmwarely"

Hi bigdee,

It sounds like your amp may need to be looked at. As I recall, you have a replacement EXP-1 at this point. Please get in touch with us directly. And we will be happy to assist. Thanks much.

Was this ever resolved? I just had the same issue, returned the EXP-1.

So I have Fender Mustang IV (v2), latest firmware, and a "real" MS4, 4 button foot-switch. I also have the 2 button switch. Just purchasing the exp-1 pedal for this mustang. Have the same issue.

The pedal turn it self on when it's just the exp-1 pedal, the light is shining. But when MS4 and the exp-1 pedal is connected together, the light does not turn on at amp start-up. If I disconnect the MS4 from the exp-1, and then reconnect it to the exp-1 pedal again, the light turns on again. Until I turn off the amp, and start the amp up again. It the same problem, no light on the pedal.

I can confirm that exp and pedal is for the Mustang IV (v2). So what is the problem? The pedal or the MS4, and is there a solution?
