Has anyone tried using the Mustang Floor into a tube amp, such as a Deluxe Reverb Reissue? I'm wondering how much people feel it colors the tone of the amp. Is it quiet? I haven't had a chance to try one myself at a music store.

I use my Mustang Floor mostly as a DI into my DAW, but I have hooked it into my Blues Deville 410, Blues Deluxe and Egnater Tweaker in the effects loop. Seems to work ok with the modulation effects, not to noisy. I really like the Tremolo, Vibrato and Delays. The overdrives just don't do it for me, but I really have not tweaked the presets that much since I have overdrive stomp boxes I use going straight into the amps.

I really wish the floor unit was more flexible in how the modulation effects can be used. I would like to be able to set it up to have chorus, flange, tremolo and phaser or rotary to work on some ambient songs. Since there is an effects loop on the floor I can add the pedals I need, but to have the ability from one pedal to use the mod effects however I want would be a really nice feature.

I use my floor for mostly recording backing tracks and it is working great for that purpose. I bought a couple of powered speakers for it so I can work on presets without having to use headphones and after I get the presets how I like them, it is pretty close in the mix as well.

It is a cool tool to experiment with in finding what type of sounds you can get from effects you do not have yet. I do not have a Tremolo, Vibrato or Univibe pedal and I have been wanting to add one to my chain, so I have been working with the floor unit to see if that is really what I want. I am thinking it is now, so I will probably get a Voodo Labs Tremolo or something similar now.

The flexibility of having dedicated stomp boxes is a major plus for me and adjusting settings on the fly, the multi effects can be a little cumbersome in that department. I mean it is a lot easier for me to just reach down and turn a physical knob to adjust a setting, instead of having to go through a menu just to adjust a tone setting.

Since we are in the 21st century I do not know why someone has not come out with a multi effects unit that uses a Bluetooth controller of some sort that would allow you to get the settings department in your face instead of on the floor. Just a simple on/off on the floor unit and a wireless Bluetooth controller that can be set on top of your amp or mounted to a mike stand to control the parameter settings, with simple knobs and not a mouse.

I've run mine through a Hot Rod Deluxe which sound great..I just usually turn off the amp modeling when doing so or using the Studio Preamp setting..I really like it through my Mackie 15TH powered loudspeakers using the modeling...the modulation effects sound great that way. They are well worth the money..

Thanks for the feedback. Now I guess it's time to go to a music store and try one out.
