Hi!

I have a "supreme MT30" tuner which I used to use to tune my guitar. Now I switched to the mustang build-in tuner since it is much more convenient. However, the two tuners does not seem to agree! If I tune my guitar with the MT30, the mustang says it is out of tune (red) in some of the strings while others are ok (green). Which one should I trust and is there any info on the accuracy? (I don't trust my ears, which says both are ok :-)

Best Regards,
Madsen

I have a BOSS TU-3 which is a lot more accurate than the Mustang tuner is, but they're both fairly accurate. Keep in mind, also, that the Mustang unit is hard-wired for A440 tuning. More advanced tuners like my TU-3 or your MT30 can be adjusted for different pitches. A slight mistune would have more drastic results on some strings than others because of how frequency ranges change as you go up the scale.

Hi madsen,

The tuner on your Fender Mustang amp is accurate within +/- 2-3 cents . You may want to try tuning with Fender FUSE connected via the user interface there as well for a more detailed view to compare. I hope this helps.
