The headphone jack on my Mustang 1 amp broke off, and I am trying to figure out how to play the audio through my computer speakers--so I can plug my head phones into the computer and not disturb my neighbors! I have the Usb cord hooked up, all the latest software downloaded, but I can't figure out how to have the sound only come through the computer. I tried turning the volume on the amp down, even turning it off-but I can't get any thing to come out of the computer speakers. Please help--it is going to be a month before I can get my headphone jack repaired.

You have to be able to use the Fender Universal ASIO to get audio input from the Mustang amp without tons of latency from the Windows sound system. Inside the ASIO, you can configure it for audio output through your sound card, usually.

In your situation, here's what I'd do. Open up AmpliTube Fender LE. It doesn't matter what amp model loads. To into your Settings > Audio Media Setup. Make sure it looks like this:

ASIO
Input device: Fender Universal ASIO
Left channel: Mustang Amplifier 1
Right channel: Mustang Amplifier 2
Output device: Fender Universal ASIO
Left channel: HD Audio output 1
Riht channel: HD Audio output 2
Buffer size: 512 [Panel...]
Midi input: <blank>

In order to be able to select the Mustang Amplifier input channels, you have to click on the Panel button and enable it there. Now, if everything is set up right, you can click OK and start getting sound from your Mustang I. However, it'll sound horrible because AmpliTube is adding its own amp and cab modelling. So now go to that amp model. See the BYPASS button at the top right? Click that on to bypass the amp.

Butwe're not done yet. It's still adding a cabinet+microphone model. Click on "Cab A" and BYPASS that one too. Assuming you have nothing under your Stomp trays or your Rack trays in AmpliTube, you should now be hearing your Mustang Amp cleanly and without any extra stuff from AmpliTube. Now, plug in your headphones to your computer and jam away.

Hi torrrgo,

FFXIhealer is on the right track with the software and ASIO (for Windows) idea. You can also try to use the included Ableton Live Lite Fender Edition software to monitor your guitar through USB. If that is a bit too much for listening, you can also try an open source app. for Windows and Mac called Audacity. It does not require use of the ASIO driver and can be set up easily. Please let me know if I can assist further.
