Just took a quick listen to the 2 blues demos. All I can say at this point is "superb" recordings. I would be interested in learning more about your presets and recording techniques when you have time.

Thanks wasarkay :D

The recording process is as simple as I can make it. All these demos were done the same way:

1. Find and download a nice backing track from Fender FUSE

2. Open the backing track in Audacity

3. Connect the Fender Mustang III via USB cable to the computer (you must have the AISO driver loaded)

4. In Audacity, set the recording device as 'Mustang Amplifier' (Go to Edit  Preferences... and click the Audio I/O tab)

5. In Audacity, select the setting to "Play other tracks while recording new one"

Have fun recording!! Just click the record button in Audacity and you will hear the backing track from the computer speakers and your guitar sound will come from the amplifier. If you prefer to hear the guitar through the computer, connect a wire to the PHONES jack on the MIII and Line-In on your computer's sound card. Then adjust the volume for Line-In on the computer. This automatically mutes the speaker in the amp. :)

Tip: If your USB recording volume is low in Audacity, press and hold the Exit button on the Mustang III and turn the Volume knob (NOT Master) up. Keep doing this and turning it up or down until the volume is where you want it (takes a little experimenting sometimes).

Here's a new one I just made tonight, I wanted to demo a couple of Touch Wah presets I made. There was a thread looking for a Jerry Garcia preset on this forum, the first lead sound is my attempt at the tone from "Shakedown Street" by The Grateful Dead. The second lead sound is my attempt at the guitar solo tone from "What I Am" by Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians. I think they both still need some work ....

Touch Wah:

Great playing - very nice tone crafting - pleasing to the ears and soul. Makes you wanna play a guitar. Really enjoyed listening to your work - thanks for sharing.

thank you SO MUCH for this comment, there are so many guitar players out there who make me feel the same way, if feels great to inspire others to PLAY. :D

I will certainly be posting many more of these on my YouTube Channel and here on the forum.

I'm trying to go through as many styles as possible to highlight how versatile this amp is, more to come in the styles of Country, Rock, and Metal .... :)

Frente, thank you so much for listening!

Added a new demo, hard rock:

The preset used was #25 Fusion Lead (Super-Sonic model), I didn't change any settings on the preset....

The slightly different sounds in the lead were done by switching back and forth from my bridge pickup to the neck pickup. The guitar is an Ibanez JS-LTD custom.

This one is pure wanking, not trying to do anything melodic here, just trying to fit 8 million notes in each measure, lol.

Hard Rock:

Great demos. Yes, I am at work and can't wait to get home and play now!

Where do you find backing tracks within Fuse? I for the life of me can't locate them.

TIA.

Thanks Bigwaves! I found the backing tracks by clicking the Media Library button in the upper-right of the FUSE window, above where it says the Amp name. This takes you out of the Preset Editor and into the Media Library. This button toggles you between the 2, so press it again when you're ready to go back to the Preset Editor (the name will change when you are in the Media Library).

When you search for backing tracks, be sure to select WEB to search on the Internet. The other 2 options are to search on your computer, or on the amp itself.

When you find a backing track you like, right-click it and choose to download. It will be sent to My Documents\Fender\FUSE\Audio\WaveMP3

I am at work too, going from memory so I might be a little off on the file location....

Wow, nice playing all around there. Quite a versatile amp, too.

Thanks 'bender! 8) Check out this other demo (not mine), it's fantastic and really shows the amp off properly:

augh, you're gonna kill me. Most of these demos I wasn't keeping track of what I used, and I've changed a lot of presets since I recorded. the T-wah demo I definitely know what I used and I can upload those, but the blues demos ..... sorry no eye deer :(
