Hi

I bought a Fender Mustang I from New York. Am in bangalore now and there is a voltage difference (110v in US while its 220v in India). Am really scared to bust off the amp.
Any suggestions on how i can use this here?
Also if at all the amp does not work, is there some help in Bangalore that i can avail of to fix the amp.

Any help in this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Much
Anand

Get some kind of voltage converter. I checked the back of my Mustang II and it only pulls 110 watts from the wall, so something like this should work:

http://www.amazon.com/Simran-SMF200-Internatioanl-Converter-Countries/dp/tech-data/B000N40ML0

Besides voltage the AC frequency might matter as well: 50Hz vs 60Hz. I don't know if it matter or not, but it might. The adapter linked above may or may not help with that.

I'm sure there are Fender representatives in India, or just electronic techs. :) I don't think it will be covered under warranty there, though.

Hi n.anands,

If you are going to get a step-down converter, I would do some research and make sure that you get a good quality one. I don't have a specific make or model to suggest. But I would read some reviews and I'm sure 2 or 3 brands will stand out as better quality units. Please let me know if I can assist further.

Best Regards,
