Hey guys. I just got my new Fender Mustang II today and it's great.

I've been playing since I was 10, so (let me think) 18 years! Most of my life. I've got a Tele and a Les Paul. My favourite changes from day to day.

I normally hate the overdrive on amps and custom settings, but some of the presets are awesome. The 57 Deluxe preset sounds awesome.

For full on distortion I'd probably use my Marshall Guv'Nor pedal, which I love, but for blues etc I'm all over the 57' preset.

Quite excited to see all the custom presets people have put up and I've been playing around with them, thanks for the effort guys.

Do a lot of you not use your pedals and foot switches because the effects on the amp are so good?

Thanks :)

I put all of my pedals up except one: The BOSS TU-3 Chromatic Tuner. It's much more accurate than the built-in one on the Mustang II.

Hi, mepha, and welcome to the Mustang club.

I use a TC Electronics Corona chorus pedal in front of my Mustang III sometimes, 'cos it sounds beautiful - and I think the chorus effects on the amp itself are among the weakest - and occasionally a gentle overdrive - a Modtone pedal - with some of the clean presets.

Just playing around and experimenting really, because I have the pedals anyway, but you could certainly get by with just the amp and its built in models and settings if you want a really simple set up.

yep, I though I would be using more of my Boss pedals, but I just can't justify it with the great built-in effects. The only 2 I ended up keeping in my pedal board are the Boss TR-2 (Tremolo) and CE-5 (Chorus Ensemble). Oh and my TU-3 (tuner).

But...wouldn't that make 3 pedals?
