Hi Guys,

i want to play the Floorboard directly to the PA (with CAB sim) and to my amp (Without CAB sim). When i chose "Combo Amp" on the left Output, the Sound still changes when i change the CABs in the Amp-Options. But i don't want any CAB sim on this Output because i go straight into an amp...

What can i do?

Would be very cool, if someone could help me. Thanks a lot!

Cheers

do you have the same "problem"?
is it a feature or a bug in my board?

A few more questions:

Is it normal that the Tuner light is always a bit lit? When it is not red, it is a little bit white, not really bright, but still lit.

I couldn't find a way to download the Ableton Software? Where can i find it?

Thanks again, I'm happy for every help

So you can't turn off cabs sims? Sounds like a deal breaker, might have to go for the Pod HD then. Don't really want to go Line 6 though...

Hi Guys,

Just to clarify here, with the Fender Mustang Floor you have a couple of different options in the area of selecting amp models/settings. If you are looking to connect the Mustang Floor to another amp, you can select either the Studio Preamp, which is a very neutral model that offers Cab sim control and EQ control, or you can bypass the amp model altogether by pressing the Amp button on the unit. This will disengage the model in the current Preset and disengage Cab sim as well (Amp light goes out). Please let me know if I can assist further.

So if I were to plug it into the return of an effects loop I'm either stuck with the studio preamp model or other models with cab simulation? Wouldn't that sound rather muddy?

Well, I think it works like this (after spending the hole day with the board yesterday :))

When i choose "Combo" on the output Options, the speakersim isn't really a speaker Sim that cuts all the annoying highs you would hear when playing in a PA. It isn't necessary as well, because you have a real speaker. But THIS speakersim just tries to make a COMBO speaker sound like one of the speaker models in the board. In THIS Option, it doesn't sound bad at all to have NO speakersim activated.

When you chose "PA System" on the Output, then you have a "real" speakersim (if you choose one), because then you have to simulate a guitaramp speaker, otherwise it sounds terrible.

Am I right Alan?

@teejoo: You can disable the speakersim in the amp options! The "problem" for me is that i want to play into an amp AND into a PA in the same time or a least without changing the ampmodel options for every preset all the time.

Hi teejoo,

Please re-read my post in this thread. You can use any model and have the Cab sim selection including Studio Preamp. Or you can bypass the model by pressing the Amp button (no Can sim). Thanks.

Hi Alan,

it would be very interessting to know if the ideas (about the speakersim) I posted are right...If you have the time, it would be cool, if you could say something about that.

Thank you!
