First the Raves: I was quickly able to get several pleasing tones that blew away my old POD X3 Live. I especially liked the Bassman, '65 Deluxe, British '60's, and the Super Sonic. Since tone is the #1 priority, I will be replacing my POD with this unit.
Now the Rants: As far as features go, the POD blows this away. However, for $200 more, the POD should have more features. 1) Does this not have a Wah Wah Pedal function? If so, how do I set it up? I need to have a wah. 2) I also need a Dotted Eighth Note delay. I am disappointed it does not have that. 3) Is there a way to program an auto swell with delay and modulation? I use that a lot too. 4) The POD had a 1/4" Aux input for my acoustic and so I could switch presets and go right from electric to acoustic guitar. I know the Floor doesn't have an Aux input but can it be used as a direct box, no amp sim, for an acoustic? Is that what the Studio Preamp sim is for? 5) I downloaded the Advanced User Guide but it doesn't tell you about what all the knobs do on the amps and FX models. What is the 2nd Gain knob on the Super Sonic for? Just more gain?
OK that's it. Bottom line is, if you want some great tones without a ton of features, this is the thing for you!

Not really surprising about the Pod and vintage Fender type sounds. Even my old Korg G3 sounded and responded better than the Pod for those types of sounds.

Can't really be that precise on the Wah questions but I think you have to change the mode of the pedal to expression mode and assign it to the Wah. The Studio Preamp is indeed for Acoustic guitar. The SuperSonic has two gain stages and second gain knob controls the second gain stage on that amp.

You're not alone in your frustration over the manual.

You certainly can assign a wah to the pedal. Use the Pedal menu to assign the pedal to assign whatever type of effect (Stomp, Delay, etc) you want to control and also to assign whatever specific effect parameter ( Level, Frequency, etc)you want to control .

The aux input on the Floor is designed to connect an external source (MP3 player) to. You can connect your acoustic to the standard guitar input.

Thanks Loren. I got the wah working fine. Tonight I played it at church direct from the XLR outs to the mixing board. It was very clear almost to the point of being harsh and sterile. I tried turning the treble down using the Utility button but it made no difference. How do you use that treble and bass control? Will it only work if you engage the "PA System + bass or treble"?

"PA System" would be the correct output setting. Otherwise you will get too much high end coming through and will sound very harsh. Here's a link to the manual.
