The power cord that came with my M3 has a German/French plug, instead of Israeli. It can be plugged but without grounding, and indeed it hums. The store said "that's what these amps come with".

It's quite annoying that Fender didn't bother providing a suitable cable, and more so when, because the plug does fit in just without ground contact, uninformed people would be left with hum and not knowing the cause.

Would it be possible to receive a suitable cord?

Dude, the Mustangs use a standard IEC cable receptacle. Surely you have an extra one of those cables lying around in your house somewhere. If not, go to your local electronics store. What are they $2.00 or something?

O.

Oh, I've repurposed a cable for now. Yes, I can buy cables. I'd still like to get a suitable cable from Fender.

The assumption that after I buy an amp ($450 discounted) I should go shopping separately for power cords is insulting.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't intentional, just a mix up during packaging.

The store said that's the way all these amps come.

There are a few small builders of tube amps, but that's really not what I'm looking for.

Might be stuck with Japanese or British, too.

If it has two pins, it's a standard plug for the EC. There is no "German/French" grounded plug, they are different for these two countries (German Schuko CEE 7/4, is not usable in France).

Yeah, why not.

Cheers

This one came with CEE 7/7. Either way, the wrong plug for this part of the woods.
