My DAW ( Reaper ) and Amplitude Fender Edition Do not "see" the X2.
In Device Manager Win 7 64 Bit it shows as Super Champ X2.
I can edit in Fuse, so my cable is good. But can't Record. Its shows as Fender Asio in both programs, but no input? Thanks

My copy of AmpliTube sometimes doesn't see my guitar input either. What is my fix? With AmpliTube still running, I'll unplug the USB cable and let Windows forget about the device, then plug it right back in. A lot of times, this resets the USB interface and allows the program to "see" the device. It starts working within seconds. If not, unplug and replug again.

Have you tried ASIO4all yet? Also, have you set your inputs in those programs to the Super Champ input? You didn't mention that you did, so that's why I'm asking. I know that in Ableton Live, you have to specify the input channels AFTER you select ASIO as your input device.

I'm stumped. You need to call Fender's tech support then. I'm pretty sure that's what Loren is going to recommend at this point.

Hey Spookey,

Are you sure the amp is enabled in the ASIO Control Panel? Press the Panel button on the AmpliTube audio settings window to find out. The amp should be highlighted. Also, make sure that any inputs on your audio card are disabled. The amp needs to be the only active input on the system.

Not sure if it matters in this case, but in Windows, you should usually double-click the little icon in your system tray and choose to "safely remove" the hardware before unplugging. Not always the case, but something to consider, if the device requires safe removal, sometimes it will act "flaky" if you just yank it

If it was a memory device, I'd agree with you. But as a digital input device, this is not the case. All pulling the USB cable would do is stop the incomming audio data stream. Then Windows' hot plug-n-play system will detect the device removal and alter the system's device manager accordingly.

If it was, say, a USB thumbdrive, then just pulling it could interrupt a data packet mid-save and corrupt the data, with a VERY slight possibility of corrupting the entire file system.

But then they'd want to close whatever program they're using first, right?

Yeah, you can just remove the USB device from the PC. I would, however, suggest you close programs that use it first (FUSE, Amplitube, etc.). But it won't damage your PC.

Are you still not able to use the software, Spookey?
