Hey, I bought a Fender Mustang I Amplifier, and it comes with Fender Fuse (Which I know how to use efficently) Amplitude and Ableton. For Amplitude and Ableton, does the guitar neeed to be plugged into the computer, or can it be done as in Fender fuse? If so, how?

I was going to post a very long, very informative response to your post, but apparently IE decided to delete half of what I had written when I was almost finished...then when I tried to undo the delete, it reloaded the entire form page, erasing everything.

I'll try again tomorrow when I'm not pissed off at my computer.

I managed to get Amplitube working fine, now I'm getting an Error message from ableton when I try to choose the Fender Universal ASIO. Saying "Live does not support 8000 as a sample rate for the fender universal asio"

In that case, you have to get into the "advanced settings" of the ASIO so you can lower the sample rate. This is weird, because the sample rate for the Fender Universal ASIO should be around 512, not 8000.

How do I go about doing that? I'm pretty much a novice at such things.

Options > Preferences

Driver Type: ASIO
Audio Device: Fender Universal ASIO

Click on Hardware Setup. You should then be able to select your devices to be used and to move the slider to change the input buffer size. I keep mine at 512 samples.

Then there's Sample Rate
In/Out Sample Rate: 44100

This is probably where you need to change it. 44.1K and 48K are good numbers without overtaxing your system.

Then download ASIO4all from here: http://www.asio4all.com/

This will act almost exactly as the Fender Universal ASIO, but it has a few more controllable features. I use this one myself. It might solve your issue.

Even after downloading Asio4all I'm still getting that error message on both "Fender Universal Asio" and the "Asio for all" option :S
