Hello Lauren,
I started this new topic to help answer some questions for me, and holpfully
others that will be asking the same. Hopefully if they read this, it will help from
haveing to repeat yourself . First let me give you some info about the main preset I have made witch is (Clean rhythm / Eff) which has, Stomp / Overdrive, Mod / Chorus, Delay / Delay, All effects are turned off untill I switch to Mode 3
to turn on as I need them. Setting EXP-1 in Volume Mode for this preset, now in volume mode it uses the Master Vol on the amp correct ? Witch is not a parameter of the preset itself, so I won't be able to see any Icon on the amp, or any volume movement on my computer for that paticular preset correct?
Here is my first question about Expession pedal settings, I've looked at maual
and It says nothing about (Pedal Default Mode) which has options (From Preset) or (Don't Pedal) can you please explain these and which should I use?
(Preset Default To) I've set to (Volume Mode).
Next I've set Volume Mode to (Volume) Heel Vol (100%) and Toe Vol to (60%)
Now normally whin I reherse with band I'm at 5-6 on my Master Vol on amp. But because I'm useing EXP-1 I have to set Master Vol on amp, all the way up and set the Toe Vol to (60%) which gives me my normal Vol and I just Heel down for extra Vol. Expression Mode to (Off) and select OK. Now do I have to save the preset, in order to save Volume Mode to this particular preset or will It save It automatically when I selected OK and will It save Volume Mode for all my presets since it 's using the Master Vol on the amp? Thank You For your help

That is all correct

“From EXP-1” means that when you load a preset, the current EXP-1 red/green state is not modified. In other words, the state of the EXP-1, when you load a new preset, is defined “From EXP-1”.

“From Preset” means that when you load a preset, the current EXP-1 red/green state is modified to whatever state is stored in the preset. In other words, the state of the EXP-1, when you load a new preset, is defined “From Preset”.

If you are the type of user who just wants a volume pedal everywhere, you probably would set the pedal to “From EXP-1”. Once you put the pedal in green mode, it will stay there regardless of which preset you switch to.

If you are the type of user who wants the pedal to do different things depending on which preset is loaded, you put it in “From Preset” mode and you tweak each preset to do whatever you like. You switch presets, the pedal switches from green to red or vice-versa as you specify in the preset.

You will definitely have to save the pedal settings on a per preset basis. I hope my answers help.

Hello Lauren,
I wanted to thank you for your help, but had to go out of town, and just found my thread again. Sorry I forgot to thank you sooner, still working with my Exp-1 pedal but your answers have me alot closer now to understanding.
