Has anyone tried valve-based drive or distortion pedals in front of a mustang? Would there be any problem with them overloading the A/D interface of the preamp and causing damage?

Hey Colos,

There are guys here that use OD pedals with their Mustangs all the time. It's important to remember that it's easy to overload the AD by driving it to hard so you'll have to have a lower than usual output volume coming out of the pedal. Once you tweak that output level a bit you shouldn't have any problems.
