There seems to be a bug when changing to different presets in fuse having the same amp models - all the knobs stay where they are.

changing to a preset with another amp type and then going to the preset i initially wanted to change to shows different knob settings.

or: it might also be the 2.6 fuse software, if it isn't the 1.9 mustang firmware.

anyone got the same problem out there?

:-)

YES

But they dont care too much about it :(

I'd suggest:
- uninstall Silverlight V (which causes the problem)
- uninstall Fuse 2.6 (which runs only with SL V)
- reinstall Silverlight IV
- reinstall Fuse 2.4 or 2.5
- keep Firmware 1.9 which works fine even with older Fuse versions.

sorry Fender-Guys - with MS-Silverlight you chose the wrong plattform anyway. Sooo slooow. Unusable onscreen-tuner even on fast hardware. While typing preset-names letters are running seconds after the keypresses. Programm start lasts 30 seconds. Fuse as concept ist really great. The realisation with MS-SL is really poor. Change the GUI; keep the concept!

Hey Frente,

I could've sworn I mentioned in another post that we're working on a fix.

Definitely noted.

Hi Loren,

yes, I know. My remark was aimed to the fact, that up in the heading posts you still anounce the update to Fuse 2.6 though you know of a bug which causes people to destroy their presets when they save something what they don't see. In my opinion it would show more responsibility to tell the people "sorry, there is some mistake we are working on. Better wait till 2.61!

ALL of the Fuse-Installations I know (7 right now) have this "misbehavior". I'm wondering that not more people complain. Is it maybe a matter of Localisation? All the computers have a german version of Windows. Doesn't the error appear on US-Installations?

Have a nice day - uhh - still night over there ;)

It definitely does, I believe my post was the one that prompted Loren to mention that a fix is being worked on.

I too wonder why this issue isn't complained of more...I find it extremely annoying. But I do appreciate Fender's commitment to fixing it, and hope it gets corrected soon.

Loren mentioned it in the neighboar-board before.

In this case I hope too, the glitch can be fixed quickly. I can even "feel" where it must be, although of course I don't know the program code.
The other bug which is discussed right now - the unintended switching of effects and presets - will be a much bigger problem for 7ender. And I fear that this is a hardware prob (the cheap selectors) and that they will let the discussion run dead (like the fizz-thing).

But I'm concious of what I have bought, an Amp for 100€ (M1) or 160€ (M2). And I'm still faszinated of the sound and possibilitys they give to me and what I can learn from them. With electric / electronic hardware for maybe 25$ from Taiwan / Korea / China / dontknowwhere. As a hobbyist I'm happy, and if on some birthday-party I have an unwanted Chorus in my sound I won't die. But if Fender wants to settle the Mustang-Series in the professional or semiprofessional szene they should really think of a "Mustang-Pro" Series with more expensive and reliable hardware. BTW: Is the unwanted effect-switching just an M1 / M2 Prob? Seems like this, other controls. That's justice - the bigger ones have the fizz instead.
