yup fizz or not nothing touches it for anywhere near the $$$.

The line 6 stuff sucks even without the fizz. The vox VT stuff isnt bad but still always sounds like Solid State. I can't even begin to tell you what a waste of money a Mesa Boogie (just as one example) is unless you are going to crank it every time you turn it on. Marshalls are such a one trick pony, and the cheap SS ones - well you are just buying a logo. I've even had a Matchless and it was also amazing when cranked, but so much another a one trick pony. To pretend at the versatility of the Mustang with "real" amps? Good luck with your truck and roadies and bank account and all of that.

Like they say if my MIII was lost or stolen what would I do? Probably buy another one ASAP. Got my Blues Jr. (old USA made issue vintage) as a backup as well so no complaints.

Yep, My mustang III, I just started to notice the fizz to, took awile but I hear it
now and it bothers me alot now that I notice it. I thought I was one of the lucky ones, gues not. I also have the Mustang IV havent used it as much, I hope it don't start the same thing. I always thought it was Rockers playing at high volumes that might be haveing this problem. But I'm 59 years old and just play a little old top 40's music and mine started the same thing. Hope Fender does some kind of recall because I'm really disapointed in them, putting out a product like this. I always had alot of respect and trust in Fender products but if they just ignore this problem I will tell everyone I know never to buy Fender again. Anything, hope other people feel the same way. I mean if I would of been aware of this problem before I purchased the II and the IV, I wouldn't have wasted my money.

Three-step solution from Fender:

1-Go to beach
2-Dig hole in sand
3-Insert head and pretend fizz problem is normal and acceptable

That's as much as we're ever gonna get, I'm afraid.

Ok, serious comment...

I don't like that on certain settings I can hear fizz. No sir, I don't like it.

But fortunately for my amp and my style of music that I like to play, it's virtually a non issue. I've had my MIII for about a year now. Never noticed fizz 'till about 6 months ago. Still don't notice about 99% of the time unless I try to induce it. Even then, some days it sounds worse than others. Some days its non-existant. But yes I agree that the amp would be "better" if it was permanently non-existant.

I don't deny that the fizz is a "real" issue. But lets keep it... real.

I paid $299 for my amp. Which by many standards is not considered a "real" amp. But sounds convincing enough for most applications. Compare the MIII to any amp you want, tube, SS, Modeler, whatever... the shear versitlity, great features, quality of tones, and throw in the functionality of FUSE - at $299!

I'll just echo what's already been said - Good luck finding anything else that even comes close.

I'm not suggesting that this amp is the end all beat all of amps. Or that there's not room for improvement. There's quite a bit of room for improvement. And we consumers should continue to encourage Fender to make it better. But for now if you want something better, just have your credit card ready. That's all I'm saying.
