Hey Burnett,

Do you have firmware version 1.9 installed on the amp? We made some pretty dramatic changes to the Wah. If you decide to keep the EXP-1 I"m sure we could help you get it working properly.

Yes, I have the 1.9 firmware installed and the latest FUSE software.

I was about to return the EXP today but changed my mind giving it a 2nd chance. I'll try to spend more time with it this weekend to see if I can get it working to my satisfaction.

My issues are as such:
the heel to toe range is quite abrupt.
I was hoping that it could be set system wide to volume and wah
the volume of the wah seems to be really really low when using the pedal
wish that it didn't have to be in place of the OD pedal

if the future holds some of these changes then I'll be much happier with the product and will have no problem keeping it.

Thanks for listening!

Hey Burnett,

Have you tried calibrating the pedal by holding the Utility button while turning the amp on?
Regarding the system wide settings, I"m afraid there aren't any at this time. That's something that could be possibly be implemented in a future software version though.

If you can, send me the preset you're having volume issues with.

Thanks Loren.

I did the UTIL button calibration but haven't spent much time with it. This weekend I hope to find more time to play with it.

Too bad about system wide settings. I"ll have to figure out how I want to use it. In the past I had the Line 6 M9 and had one "stomp" on each scene devoted to a classic crybaby style wah. I'd love to have that on many of my presets but hate to lose the built in OD to do that.

For now I'll use it as a volume pedal until I can figure out how to program all the presets I'd want to use it in. I also used the expression pedal on my M9 to control my tremolo settings. I'm sure I'll do that on several too.

I'll just have to spend the time with it to figure out how to get it to work for my needs.

thanks!

So is the only way to configure the expression pedal through FUSE via USB connection? Is there any way to set up a wah, for instance, on the fly?

I haven't found a way to do it on my M3.

Hi Guys,

The only way you can configure the settings on the Fender EXP-1 pedal is with the use of Fender FUSE. Please let us know if we can assist further.
