I just saw this on Musicians Friends website. What gives? Has Fender delayed the release?

Crap, this sucks! I was fine with waiting until the 2nd, then the 23rd, now AUGUST?

don't get me wrong, I'm lovin my MIII but one of the reasons I got it was that I could replace my pedalboard with wah and volume as well.

I've already sold my kit awaiting this EXP :(

Say it ain't so!

I'm hoping that is a typo.
I've got one on order from Sweetwater, expected anytime now. They have always been very reliable (& Great service). They did tell me the Mustang amps and accessories are very popular and moving fast.

Anyone actually have one yet?

I also have one on order through sweetwater. I called Fender directly and was told there has been a delay but the first shipments to the stores should be mid April and sweetwater was one of them. I still don't have a warm and fuzzy feeling that I will be recieving mine anytime soon.

Ups delivered mine yesterday! Smaller than I thought, but looks very well built and Solid.

Let ya know, after I get some time with it.

Just got mine today too! Whew! I was dreading the long wait.

BTW, I agree with LA, smaller than I thought (Thats a good thing on a pedalboard!!) and well built!! Great job Fender!!

I'll hook it up tonight and check it out! Can't wait to have a wah again!

Well I spent some time with the EXP last night. Hrm. I'm a bit underwhelmed. Not that I use Wah much but it's nice to have when you need it. I was hoping that it would be like "set it once and go" but it appears I have to have it set up for each preset I want to use it with. Otherwise it reverts to a volume pedal.

I'm thinking, sadly after waiting so long to get it, to send it back and just get a wah pedal.

Also, I haven't found a way to set it up on the fly using the amp only. I can only seem to get it to work as an expression pedal through FUSE. Is this correct?

Any chance some improvements or easier usage is coming?

Hey burnettguitars,

Does your pedal reach max volume/effect at about half way between heel and toe? Mine does.

yup, mine does that too!

I've already decided I'm returning it monday and just picking up a wah pedal to use in front of my pedalboard of pedals that I couldn't part with even though the MIII sounds fantastic (minus the wah)

Hey Burnett,

Do you have firmware version 1.9 installed on the amp? We made some pretty dramatic changes to the Wah. If you decide to keep the EXP-1 I"m sure we could help you get it working properly.

Hey Loren,

Are you looking into the calibration issues?

And what about a future option to have the pedal act as either a stompbox or a modulation effect. Would rather use it with the OD pedal than a chorus or flange, as it is either the OD pedal or the Wah.
