Hi! You can call me a beginner, so I´d like some advice on how to get a good sustain-helper preset adjustment, and what should I adjust in order to achieve it. For example: gain, volume and master knobs, wich preset will serve best for modding, what effects (delay, overdrive, etc) should be used and whatever useful tip you may have. I know sustain is influenced by many factors, including the *guitar player* wich in this case is no virtuosso or whatsoever, so I know that all you can say to me perhaps will do as a guideline for me to work on according to my equipment (Mustang I amp/Peavey Raptor Plus EXP SSH guitar).

I managed to adjust the first green bank preset for getting a good lead sound, but i´m kind of not 100% satisified, so that´s why I call for help. Some delay modulation is ALWAYS needed in order to get a better sustain?

Any help really appreciated, guys.

I downloaded some presets today, I´ll try them later at home and see what they sound like, but if you know of any other, please comment; they are "overdrive sustain fat lead", "appetitefrorockandroll", "rock lead solo boost", "vox sustain" and "twin 65 od singing sustain".

Thank you very much!!

Sabas

Hi, Sabas.
Try using the compressor on an amp model you like the sound of. In Fuse, you can experiment with putting the compressor before or after the amp models (Pre or Post) and choose which way sounds best for you. You can also do the same thing with the overdrive and fuzz effects. Have fun!

Orcatraz: Tried with fuzz after amp and I liked how it sounds. I still have to tweak a little more making some adjustments, but I like what I´m getting right now. Hope this weekend can have some time to do it (work and home don´t leave you too much spare time!)

Thanks again!

Sabas

Glad you found something you liked, Sabas. Are you running the fuzz pre or post?
