This has been answered to many different people, and I have read them all. And Im sure you guys are tired of answering them over and over but still nothing makes sense. and im about to rage. All i want to do is record. I have uninstalled and re installed everything about 40 times now.

I just bought the Fender Mustang 3 amp, and I downloaded the asio driver. I am having troubles hearing Play Back or the recordings. I can see that when im playing i am creating sound. But I don't hear a thing. I have looked on forums but I just can't figure it out. I have tried

(I have Windows XP)

I even went in my control panel and even disabled windows sounds (NO SOUND)

and for ableton

Options > Preferences > Audio - and choosing Asio for driver
and Fender universal Asio

then turning on the mono and stereo options for input and output but nothing

and i tried

Options > Preferences > Audio - and choosing Asio for driver
and Asio4all V2
but and same mono and stereo options highlighted and still nothing.

I can't figure out where i went wrong.

I can hear sound if i use my Real Tek High Definition Audio (under Hardware Setup)

But i was under the impression that the Fender Mustang Amp 3 (usb) would act as the Hardware Setup for outbound as well. not through my speakers or the (real tech trash)
That is where im getting no sound.

I also read on forums of a number for fender to call and get assistance. and all that happened was to call abelton (in Germany) i dont think that is going to happen.

Where did i go wrong?

Here's a Screen Shot of No Fender Mustang Out

P.S. if nothing works i will make a video of me destroying this amp into a million pieces or ashes...

Hey Fishstick,

Disable the "In" on your Realtek card. That should do it. ASIO likes to have only one input device and one output device enabled. As it stands you have two input devices, the Realtek card and the Mustang.

Okay I am recording now, but i was under the impression that the out would be through my amp was well. Is it not like that?

The Mustang amps function as input-only devices. That means you'll have to use another device for to monitor output.

You can run a cord from your computer/soundcard speaker out to the Mustang aux in and monitor through the amp that way.
