Frente - We're happy the new wah effects are getting such a positive response. We've been working on them for a while now.

Bulldog - We're hoping that in most cases minimal tweaking is necessary.

Noticeable improvement in the touch wah, much easier to use now.

Thanks Fender!

Unforunatly now I have to give a bad response: with the new Fuse-Software and the new firmware the connection between amp and computer became a oneway road!
After starting the software everything seems fine, moving the controls on the screen changes the setting of the amp - lets say the volume. And turning the volume control of the real amp turns the knob on the screen, this means the software shows the actual settings of the amp - like it should.
But after some minutes, sometimes even seconds, the connection in one direction is lost, if you change s.th. on the real amp this change is not show anymore on the screen, nothing.
The only thing I can do to fix this is
- to restart Fuse completly
- to switch off/on the amp
(both forces a new syncing between amp and Fuse)
- or to choose another amp-modell
Then everything works fine again - for some minutes.

This happens on two mustangs (II and Mini) and on two different Laptops, both running the newest Fuse and the newest firmware. Before the update I didn't have a problem like this.
Really bad, I carry the laptop to gigs and practise to have control of the parameters not availabe on the amp like middle, sag or bias. But of course I also use the controls of the amp itself. And if their changes are not shown on the screen its not possible to work with the software in the used manner.

Greets

Regarding Connection loss:

I found a situation which forces the one way connection loss. Maybe it helps Fenders Developers to come close to the bug.

- choosing a preset
- editing something (more treble for example)
- saving the preset in the same bank => the lit "save" on amp and in Fuse is off afterwards

<snip>!

If after this I turn one of the controls on the amp, nothing moves on the screen. But: The save button in Fuse is red again! This means: The message that s.th. was changed on the amp (vol, bass, treble) comes through to Fuse, but the virtual knobs don't turn. So for sure there isn't s.th. wrong in the USB Connection, it's just a matter of the GUI, the display.

Can others reproduce this behavior?

I did some more testing (also with a 3rd Mustang and another PC) and found out:
- Just the process of "saving" triggers the "partly connection loss", regardless of what settings you change at the amp or on the screen.
- The strange behaviour is NOT caused by the new Firmware or the 2.6 Version of Fuse.
I went back to firmware 1.8 and Fuse 2.41 and the same thing happens: After saving a preset all further changes of controls on the amp is not shown on the screen anymore. It doesnt depend on which save-button I use, the one at the amp or that in Fuse.
- I wonder that I didnt recognize this malfunction before, because I usually very often save a preset while tweaking the sound for a different room for example. And I allways used both sets of controls, the real ones and those in Fuse. So I really think it doesnt happen until last week.

So there's just one point I didn't roll back: the new version of Silverlight - maybe thats the cause?

Does really no one else recognizes this problem? But I do on three different Mustangs and three installations of Fuse on different computers?

Maybe Loren can move my posts from this thread to somewhere else where fits better and have a talk about the topic with one of the developers.

Greets,

Frente

Hey Loz,

You can roll back to any previous version of firmware. We've been running 1.9 on our Mustangs for a while now without issue. Maybe you should try the update once more.

hello Loren, thanks for chiming in. I tried re-installing the 1.9 firmware, and still couldn't use my data wheel. Its weird, but I sorted my issue by rolling back to 1.8 again, then re-installing 1.9 over it and its working now.
I don't get it, I don't understand it but the point is I have my data wheel back and that's all that matters.
Thanks again !

Hey Guys,

Loz - I'm glad it's working for you now. I"m not sure what could have caused it.

Frente - We've been doing some testing and we actually reproduced the behavior you're seeing. Our software team is taking a look at it now. Thanks for your detailed report. I'm sure we'll have a fix out soon.
