Just updated fuse to 2.6 and it updated my firmware to 1.9 at the same time. Any ideas what features/fixes this brings?

I'd like to know this too. The Mustang firmware-update cannot be related to the added SC-sx support of the Fuse-Software.

I know that at least for my Mustang V, it adds support for the EXP-1 expression pedal.

One thing I've stumbled onto is that the Sag and Bias controls are now WAY more effective and interactive! COOL!

If the adding of Expr.Pedal is the only advantage, I will sure skip this update. Seems to be quite buggy anyway. If the sag-controll doesnt work anymore, would be a big loss.

Hunh? If you're saying that because of my post, you misunderstand me when I say it's WAY more effective now. To be clear, that means it's better. The Bias control actually does something more noticeable now too - especially on certain models.

Yah, I really misunderstood this, thought it was ironic... Ok, i'll try the update one of my computers tomorrow, the more unimportant one. The posts in the other thread made me fear to crash everything. Why the hell, Fender based Fuse on this MS-Silverlight? It is soo slooow and picky. On the computer of my friend it doesnt work at all. After changing a controll on the amp Fuse needs a minute to show it. Typing in the name of Preset is an adventure. My Commodore C64 (RIP) was a racing car compared to Silverlight. But anyway it works, slowly but it works. And i dont want to destroy it with an To-be-Tested-by-Customers Firmware-Update.

Actually I dont have an issue with Fuse - works pretty well.

I've done a fair amount of development with Silverlight and its actually pretty good - of course it all depends on the developer - all controls are DirectX accelerated so you would get a better experience with a faster graphics card..

The Fuse-Update went ok on my Laptop and the firmware update for my Mustang Mini too. No problems. Just the above mentioned big difference in the behaviour of the sag control I cant recognize. Doesn't matter, it worked fine for be before.

Greets,

Frente

Hey Guys,

This was taken from the Mustang Firmware support article.

Fender Mustang firmware version 1.9 is the current version of Mustang firmware.

Added EXP-1 compatibility for Mustang III, IV, and V.
Replaced/improved existing Fixed Wah and Touch Wah effects. Fixed Wah is now called Pedal Wah.
Fixed problems with press-and-hold-UTIL-while-turning-encoder functionality (III, IV, and V only)
Increased MS-4 Tuner press-and-hold time to 1 second to avoid accidental switching to tuner mode (III, IV, and V only)
Various other bug fixes and enhancements
This firmware update is recommended for all Fender Mustang I-V amplifiers.

good, I dont have to make a new thread about it now that one already exists for the 1.9 update. I installed the new firmware and now the data wheel on my mustang iii is useless. I can't use to edit anything on the amp now, but had zero issues before when I was using 1.8 firmware.
any clue ? can i roll back to the previous firmware version so I can get my data wheel back ?

Did you install the right version of the firmware? There's a 1.9 for the Mustang I and II, and a different 1.9 for the Mustang III, IV and V.

I didn't even know this myself until I followed Loren's link.

Hey Loz,

You can roll back to any previous version of firmware. We've been running 1.9 on our Mustangs for a while now without issue. Maybe you should try the update once more.

The new Touch Wah sounds much better than the old one, great!

All of my presets that I had tweaked the bias or sag sound completely different now. I have to go back into them and reset and retweak them.
