Well at least apparently for me, the "certain playing condition" was just constant use.

My formerly fizz-free MIII (bought last October) has now developed a full-blown case.

Not sure if this had anything to do with it, but it developed the full-blown fizz shortly after I started using the MIII with a guitar with active pickups. Had been playing primarily my Strat with passive Custom Shop Fat '50's in it - no problems for months. Then picked up an Ibanez Artist off of CL to play around with that has the Ibanez LoZ active pickups. After a few weeks...the fizz. Thought maybe it was just the active pickups, but now it is the same even when I switch back to the Strat.

Of course I'm well past my 30 day return window & now sounds like Fender won't do jack to fix it. It's obvious the amp DID NOT do this when I bought it and was happy about that (I knew about the fizz when I bought it, so I checked thoroughly & constantly for the first 30 days)...so something has obviously now changed in the amp. Frustrating...

Welcome to the ever-growing club, Redd. One day all MIII-MV owners will be members.

The fizz was not caused by anything you did. It's a design flaw in the amp.

These amps are very good at most things, but there are some things they can't do. They're not the real thing, only a reasonable facsimile.

That did not cause the fizz. It was just a timing thing.....
