Hi there,

My daughter has a Squire Strat and a Mustang II.

She has been invited to play Poison's "Talk dirty to me" for her school Talent Show.

She almost have it. Now, the question here is what settings would you suggest to get close to the CC's sound.

She has been playing acoustic and electric guitar is totally new for her. So all Mustang's settings is just to much to grasp (for me too!!!). For now.

Thank you all in advance.

I only did a quick YouTube search for that song. Closest thing I would say is run the JCM800 (British '80s) setting with the 4x12M (default) cabinet, turn your mids up more to compensate and increase your Presence. Use the bridge pickup. You may have to add in the Overdrive pedal in Fuse while you're at it to get the same kind of crunch they used.

FFXIhealer,

Thanks. Here are the settings. Obviously, it does not sounds the same but is good enough.

Mustang II
Amp: British 80's
Gain : 8
Treble : 7
Middle : 7
Bass : 3
Presence : 8

Added Overdrive Pedal
Level : 60%
Gain : 50%
Low: 30%
Mid : 70%
High : 70%

I can hear a reverb in the song, so optionally I added a Post Small Hall Reverb.

Thanks again.
