Very sorry if this has been covered.
I have the Mustang 2.
I have not been able to figure out how to get a nice clean sound out of it. There is always a small amount of reverb going on. I love the sound but would also like to not have it all the time.
Thanks much, Richard

Move the Delay/Reverb knob to the right a little, and then all the way to the left, this will shut off all delay/reverb effects.

Remember that if you don't save your settings it will come back the next time you use that preset and you will have to shut it off using the procedure described above.

All the amp knobs - except the master volume - only become 'active' when you move them.

Until then, regardless of how they appear to be set, you will get the settings that go with the currently loaded preset. So, for example, although the gain knob on the amp is set at one, the gain for the current preset may actually be at 10 ! and so on. And, yes, any changes you make if/when you do twiddle the knobs will be lost unless you do a save before switching to another preset or turning the amp off.

Can be pretty confusing when you may want to just take a quick look at the amp to get a visual feel for the settings.

Ummphh!,
Looks like I have a learning curve ahead.
Still pretty exciting to have all that power under the roof.
Thank you very much for the advice, printed and placed in view.
Best, Richard

Indeed maybe some user would enjoy a "manual mode" where tha amp act just the way you see the knobs.

Everything becomes easier to understand when you start thinking 'preset.'

This is my first guitar amp so it doesn't bother me. It's actually pretty intuitive when you realize it's just a collection of presets and all of the knobs on the amp, and even Fuse, are just tools to help you setup presets.

Agreed that thinking in terms of presets may help, but it doesn't alter the fact that when you look at the amp, without Fuse, the position of the knobs tells you nothing about how they are actually set (although on the 3, 4 and 5 you could check via the LCD screen).

The idea of being able to turn off the preset saving function and put the amp in 'manual' mode and just twiddle the knobs to a point you like and then having those settings 'stick' without saving is an interesting one.

Yep, the knobs don't tell you anything about their actual position in the preset. Doesn't the CyberTwin move the knobs when you select a preset? That has the coolness factor, but it's more expensive and it's lots of moving parts. I think the Mustang method is a nice compromise.
