I am either going to pre-order the mustang floor or buy another brand in the next couple of days. I really wish someone would tell me if its safe to order the Mustang floor or not.
If I dont get a reponse soon from Fender, I will assume they may have a fizzing sound problem with the Mustang floor, and I will purchase a different brand instead.

I have a Mustang III with no 'Fizzing' at all. I think that there were some bad lots produced.

I suggest that you buy one from your local music store where you can check the amp out first.

Unfortunately, that strategy didn't help those of us who got a non-fizzing mustang that sounded great on receipt and started fizzing, frequently after (sometimes well after) a 30 day return period. According to Fender, the fizz is a characteristic of the amp, and they won't replace a fizzing amp on warranty. Lots of people here confirm this.

If Fender were to confirm that the floor doesn't have the fizz, they would have an even bigger problem trying to explain away the amps that do fizz. I'll be amazed if Fender makes any kind of statement at all.

Of course, that just creates a lot of suspicion about anything they release from here on in. If the Floor fizzes, you can certainly expect the same non-response were getting now. And if it doesn't, they can't really say it doesn't without creating a lot of potential liability for the amps that do fizz, which they are not now taking care of on warranty.

The fizz, and Fender's lack of owning up to it, will taint their modeling products for years to come, if they don't fully own up to it and make it right. It's the classic rock and hard place.

Can someone please reassure me that the Mustang Floor does not share the fizzing sound problem the larger Mustang amps have?

Since no one from Fender will say the new Mustang floor is fizz free, I decided to wait until they are released and to read some reviews before ordering one.

I just ordered the MIII plus the 4 button plus the EXP1!! So glad that Fender thought of how we would use it. No more need of my pedal board! AND I'll have Wah & Volume using the same expression pedal! Killer!

Great job Fender!

Musicians Friend says my EXP1 will ship 3/2/12, Just enough time to set up my MIII for it!

Hey Guys,

Pete - Give me a bit to find out when the Floor will be available in the Netherlands.

CNY - I'm gathering info on the S/N ratio now. I'll report back soon.

Burnett - I"m sure you'll enjoy having the EXP-1 in your setup.

Green - You certainly can change presets by stepping on the buttons. You can advance through the presets 1 at a time or 5 at a time.

Too bad the Mustang Floor isn't available now! Never understood why they introduce things and then tell you it's not available for another 2 - 3 months!

I've been needing to get a direct type system for a little while now for certain situations and until the Mustang Floor, been limited to the Line 6, ToneLab (Vox), and Roland/Boss units - so this is a great addition especially since already own a Mustang III

Guess it's just my G.A.S.-ing!

Dealers should start receiving units in the next few weeks.
