I am sure that a reputable company like Fender would not release a product until it has been thoroughly tested and certified to have a defect-free design, so I highly encourage Mustang lovers everywhere to buy this floorboard without apprehension, and to report back to the Forum with your thoughts.

Rest assured that in the unlikely event that some unforeseen issue should arise, Fender's 5-year warranty is ironclad, and their reputation for customer satisfaction is stalwart. Pay no heed to rumors of fizz in some Mustang products. Go out and buy with confidence, and let us know what you find.

Just to set the facts straight, Fender has stated *officially* that they do *NOT* recognize the fizz issue as a warranty repair. If your amp fizzes, you'll have to learn to live with it cause Fender ain't gonna fix it. Instead of an "ironclad" warranty, it's more like a slightly-sodden particle board warranty. ;)

As far as their reputation for customer satisfaction goes, they basically told all their customers who have a fizzing amp to go "f" themselves with their lawyer-ease laden announcement last year.

If you need a floorboard, go buy a Zoom G3 or maybe G5 - those Japanese geniuses are making some killer stuff these days...

Fender needs to come clean about the fizz. Just tell us what it is, what it is caused by, and what you are doing to eliminate it. Since Fender has publicly acknowledged it is an artifact of their MIII-MV amp models, it shouldn't be that big a deal to confirm whether or not new products are prone to it. C'mon Fender. Spill. Frankly, I'd strongly consider a new Floor, since I'm not particularly impressed with the line 6 pods in that price range (one of which I'm currently sending back). But after losing $100 due to Fender's lack of warranty support on a fizzing MIII, I'm not too inclined to take a flyer on a new Fender product without a lot of written explanations and assurances.

You guys are scaring away all the beta testers. How are we going to find out if the floorboard fizzes if no one is willing to shell out $300 to test it? Fender certainly isn't going to tell us.

Let's have faith to user's common sens. I am sure they will look at it from more than one perspective.
I mean not only the negative sight too much emphasized by the same 2 or 3 users here.

That's what a 30-Day return policy is for.

And therein lies the rub. If my MIII had started fizzing within 30 days, I would no longer have an MIII, nor would I be anywhere near this forum.

They still don't get it. My MIII didn't fizz til about day 37. Asking whether the Floor is susceptible to fizz, given its roots in the MIII, is a perfectly legitimate question that Fender should A) be expecting and B) willing able and ready to provide a factual response. Since the Line6POD I had went back. I'm still in the market. As I have said previously, I really liked much about the MIII, but the fizz appearing after the 30day return period was a deal killer. Fender needs to step up here.

Yes sir. Some fizz right out of the box. Some acquire it weeks or months later. Mine was about six weeks after purchase.
