Is it possible to check what firmware version the amp is running on? Whenever I click the "Update Firmware" button in FUSE, it goes straight to updating, and I want to know if its actually necessary. I find it hard to believe that three new updates came out in three days...

On the Mustang 3, 4, and 5, it's quite easy to check which firmware you're running. Follow these steps:

1. Push UTIL button 7 times.
2. Read the Firmware version listed. The most up-to-date is 1.8

On the Mustang 1 and 2, I'm not really sure HOW to tell what firmware you're running. I'd install 1.8 on purpose and then just make a note of it somewhere.

On the 1 and 2 with the amp plugged in and usb plugged in and amp powered up, go under main menu and then under help and About Fender Fuse in the help section and it will show which firmware you got installed....eazy peazy

I have a m3 and a m4 I had upgraded the firmware not to long ago. Thinking it was up to date. But never knew about the info FFXIhealer posted. FFx your a genus. I had the 1.5 it was working good on the m3. I was getting a clicking noise on the m4 and it was a sometimes occurrence. After finding the 1.8 and downloading it. I presumed that it I clicked on the bundle box it would up grade to 1.8. No I was wrong I tried it again then the 2nd box for internet up grade still having to find it in my downloads. All and all I did the 7 util taps and I am now 1.8. On both the m3 -m4. I am not getting the clicking from the m4 so far several hours of playing. I have to stop looking at the m5 but I know it is in my future. It looks like a real good amp. Horton
