Hi there,

I have a Fender Mustang I amplifier and I'm looking for some good blues settings.

Can anyone recommend me something?

Should I use a slight distortion too?

Welcome to the forum
The best thing you can do is sit and play around with the settings until you find what your looking for. A lot of settings people give you are personal taste but helpful at the same time. See what some others suggest, they might give you some hints. Personally I put mine on the `65 Twin Reverb and add a little more reverb and keep the Mod switch off.

It kind of depends on your pickups as well. With my vintage noiseless pickups in my Deluxe Players Strat I can get some pretty bluesy tones with the Princeton, Deluxe and Bassman settings but when I hook up my other strat with DG EMG's it sounds like sqaut unless I re-do the eq settings to get it dialed in...

I always start with a good clean tone before I start messing with the effects..
Then I usually use the Compressor, Sine Chorus, Stereo Tape Delay and Small Room Reverb with all of those set on pretty low signal levels and really used just to thicken up the tone a bit...

I usually use my MXR 10 band EQ, Fulltone Fulldrive 2 and Hardwire CM-2 to give it more flavor...
I also have a volume pedal which I highly recommend...

I have the Mustang V and a 2 x 12 extension cab loaded with two 16ohm Eminence Texas Heats...
