Hello everybody,

I just recived a shiny new mustang 1 and squier vibe custom tele in the mail today. I was very excited to hear how the amp would sound through my guitar but unfortunately nether amp or guitar came with a cable to pair the two. My understanding was that the mustang came with a cable for this. I am very excited to have the two but wondering why these amps don't come with a cheap cable so beginners can get started playing. Are they suppose to come with a cable and mine just didn't have one?

Thanks

Rachel

NO amp comes with a guitar cable...or a speaker cable for heads. Only beginner guitar kits come with one, but those have a cheap guitar and a REALLY cheap amp in the same package.

Take a trip to your local music store and get one long enough for your needs.

I was hoping this wasn't so. My "local" music store is 20mil away so I probable won't get there till as least Sunday, might just be faster to order online.
Any cable recommendations for under $15? I kinda blew the wad on the guitar.

Thanks for your fast reply.

If you have a Hastings nearby, they have cables. I have picked up a couple of Planet Waves from there... Not the best but they work...

You can get 1/4" plug cables at radio shack that will work just fine.

I don't know anything about them, but I would get at least a 10' cord. I have used these with good results.

I haven't bought any of these, but I have used lots of Rapco in the past and it is good quality. I do like having a 90 degree angle on one of the ends though.

Good call on the 10'. Anything less than that will cause you problems down the road.

Never used Lava Blue, but Lava makes really good cables, up there next to Monster.

Of course, if you're handy with a soldering iron, you could always make your own cables, but that's more suited to making speaker cables than guitar cables.

Congrats on your Mustang purchase, though. Bad-ass little amp.
