My Fuse and Amplitube software are working after installing the ASIO driver. When I try to record with Ableton it doesen't seem to be working with ASIO but it does record with the MME/Directx driver that came with the computer.Any ideas how to correct this problem would really be appreciated.

Yeah, I had to sit down for about 2 hours with the Ableton tutorials before I got mine to start recording. Check those lessons out and tell us if you got it fixed.

Make sure you enable the Mustang as input in the ASIO driver's hardware setup.

I never had problems recording but getting recording AND playback happening i.e. one track recording while monitoring playback on another.

I've kind of tracked this down to the Fender ASIO /soundcard combination only supporting input via USB.

Enabling the Mustang as input disables my soundcard for output. I use MME and it works well enough. Or you can bypass USB altogether and just use headphones out depending on your requirements.

You definitely want to make sure that in the ASIO setup window, ALL inputs of ALL devices except the Mustang are disabled. The same goes for ALL outputs of ALL devices except for your built in sound card's stereo out.

Thanks, but I've tried that as well. I'm writing this off as an incompatibility with my soundcard and just leave it at that. Anyway, I've found MME to be adequate for what I need.
