Can anyone help, got a mustang 2, APPROX 3 MONTHS OLD every preset has a buzzy, fuzzy sound to it, nothing sounds clean, tried setting up fender fuse software and account etc, nothing seems to work on that either, clicked confirm account e mail, and now when i try to log in it says either name in use or no account found? tried downloading patches, put in the cd that came with the amp, its on comp, but does nothing regarding the amp, doesnt recognise it, in fact the only thing that works as it should is the tuner on the amp, oh and the on and off switch, everything else seems to be off in a world of its own, any advice would be great as it all looks and sounds fantastic in the adds and on paper, but i have yet to experience the joy of it all

Do even the clean amp models sound fuzzy? Have you tried turning down the Gain and turning up the Preset Volume knob as well as the Master Volume? Are your pickups really hot? If they are, you may need to turn the guitar volume down. When you say

did you in fact install the software, restart the computer and did you launch the Fuse software with the Mustang connected via USB?
Are you sure the USB port is working?

O.

Hey Darrell,

First thing, go to http://fuse.fender.com and download the latest version of the Fender FUSE software directly from that page. Is that what you did? Also, Fender FUSE account registration doesn't automatically send you a confirmation email. It sounds like you registered for the forums and not the Fender FUSE Community.

Regarding the DVD, there is nothing on it as far a Presets go.

The Mustang II, as it comes from the factory, has some very good clean sounds on it. It shouldn't need to be tweaked, though it almost sounds like yours has been. Though I have used Fender Fuse to change many of my M II's original sounds (doing away with the most metal ones), I have no trouble getting nice clean tones. You can adjust the presets without using Fuse, too, but patience is a good idea.
