I can tell you mine is LOUD, hard to manage. You better be in a stadium if you are going to try and get tube overdrive with one.

Why do Fenders seem to have that problem? My first two amps 14 years ago were solid state amps and both were hard to manage on volume level. I've got a 50W Marshall JVM and volume is easy to control on it and you can get great tones at any gain level at ridiculously low volumes...low enough I can play at night when my girls are sleeping!

Regarding the A/B comparison there is one between the GDEC-3 and a Twin Reverb under the GDEC 3 forum. It's pretty interesting as to how close they are in the side by side comparison. I would guess that the new GDEC 3s and Mustangs share much of the same architecture.

Do you have a link for this thread? I scanned a few pages but I couldn't find it.

The thread regarding the GDEC and Twin Reverb is from July 29, 2010. It is titled GDEC 3 30 vs 1969 Twin Reverb. He concluded he didn't need to haul a heavy Twin around anymore and is going to just mic his GDEC 3. It is posted by Billy Hell and may be abe to be viewed at http://www.billyhell.com. HTH.
