I only play at home in our music room w/ my 12 yr old son and am amazed at what you get with the Mustang 1 for $100.

We have the Vibro Champ tube amp as well but love the Mustang 1 amp !

Perfect amateur amp for home use - definitely recommend this amp !

I have to agree with you on that. I sold a Roland Micro Cube that cost $130 that I used when I travel and got the M1 to replace it. The Mustang blows it away with 20 watts and an 8 inch speaker compared to the Micro Cube with 8 watts and a much smaller speaker. I have a Blues Jr. also and find myself using the M1 at home more than I thought I would. The M1 is the best bang for your buck, but of course thats just my opinion.

I have to say that I am pleasingly surprised at the MI. First of all, I have an MIII and MIV that I am using at each of the music schools I teach at. I just bought 5 MIs to use in class with the kids. I brought one home to get set up and used it a a rehearsal for our Candlelight Service. (We mic all of the amps.) We have a very nice PA/speaker system. It sounded great and extremely huge! It held up very nicely next to a couple of Vox AC30s. Now I know that without the PA the MI wouldn't cut it in this situation, but the MI is my new rehearsal amp of choice, and I plan on using it for the Candlelight Service. Easy setup and tear down!
