Anyone who can give me some advice for changing the cloth?
As far as I´ve seen the wood is all glued together.

Cheers, Chris

To be able to remove the grille cloth, you will need to take the back piece off of the amplifier, disconnect and remove the speaker, then unscrew the baffle and carefully remove it. The cloth is stretched over and attached to the baffle itself. Good luck with that.

Just curious, is something wrong with your grill cloth or are you modding your amp? If it's number 2, I hope we'll get to see some pics!

It's number 2.
I was thinking about changing the original to a simple black cloth.
But as far as I've seen it's nit that easy to take off the baffle.
It looks like the edges of the wood are sealed with some sort of silicon.
Does somebody know how to take off the baffle without destroying that sealing?

Well; this thread didn't go anywhere in 2011...let's see if anyone has an answer in 2017???
I'm trying to change the grill cloth on my Mustang IV...and as hunsrock said, the front panel is actually glued in, and I mean a LOT of glue. Why? For the love of God WHY?!?
FFXIhealer's method works good for a lot of Fender amps....but not the Mustang III or IV........

BECAUSE THER IS AN OBNOUXIOUS AMOUNT OF GLUE ALL THE WAY AROUND THE FRONT PANEL.

I suppose there are ways to break through the glue (Dremel comes to mind), but will it compromise the amps stability in that the glue....and I mean this thing is GLUED.....may be there to eliminate cabinet rattle.

Anyone have any input?

Take off the small DSP badge on the front held on by two small Phillips screws because there is a hidden screw underneath it. Take off all visible screws, then take a sharp craft knife to score through the glue shite. Make sure the speaker is disconnected, unbolted and out of the way. A few sharp shocks and it should come loose..... Don't ask me how I know!
