I have an electric guitar with a piezo pickup and I was wondering if the Mustang III would be capable of producing an acoustic sound on its own or with some external (and not too expensive :P) help.

I've seen some patches on Fuse website, but as I don't have a Mustang yet I haven't been able to check them.

I also own a Zoom G2.1u multi-effects pedal (the old model) which have an accoustic simulator. Would it work to combine the piezo, the pedal and the Mustang in a clean setting?

If it's not possible, should I better stick with G-DEC 3 for the acoustic simulator?

Try either the Deluxe Reverb or the Twin Reverb, set to clean, and using your Acoustic Simulator in your Zoom G2. I have a BOSS AC-3 Acoustic Simulator and it's VERY nice.

Search on Fuse for a preset called "Acoustic Crystal Clear" (or Clean). It uses the Brit 60's amp model (Vox). It's a great clean sound all on it's own.
I was looking for an acoustic sounding patch to use with an undersaddle pickup acoustic guitar, and this worked like a charm. It doesn't sound as nice as an acoustic guitar amp, but it's not bad. One more use for the Mustang II!
