I live in a trailer and don't have much room, but this thing could blow the walls out flat. It sure doesn't seem 'mini' to me.

What is bigger that I might need? I'm afraid I would be evicted if I got anything bigger, or if I even turned this amp up past 3 or 4 on the rickter scale (volume knob settings.)

I've never seen the Mustang III called a mini amp. The M3 is the size of most larger-powered combo amps, like the Marshall JVM205C. The M4 is even bigger, with 2x12" Celestion speakers. That makes it just as big as a Marshall JVM410C combo. The only thing bigger than these would be to go for half-stack (head + cab) or a full-stack, but at that point you leave the realm of practice and small-gig amps and move up into "I'm Metallica and we do shows across America all year long and need to be heard by people 6 football fields away..." territory.

Fender does make an actual "Mustang Mini" amp, which is a little 7-watt 6" speaker combo amp powered by 6 C-size batteries or an AC adapter, a hard-mounted handle that can double as a stand and only has 8 amp models as far as I know instead of the normal 12 in the Mustang 1-5 range.

This is the only Mustang MINI that I've ever heard of.

The problem is that the title of this forum is grammatically incorrect and has caused confusion:

"Mustang™ I / II / III / IV / V / Mini Amplifiers"

This means that all the Mustangs are mini amplifiers.

Here's what it should read:

"Mustang™ I / II / III / IV / V / Mini / Amplifiers"

Actually, the way it IS listed is correct. If you put another slash, then grammatically, that would include "amplifiers" in the list of options...implying that the I/II/III/IV/V/Mini options actually AREN'T Amplifiers at all since you had to ADD the Amplifier option.

The proper way to correct that would be to put MINI in the front, seeing as you were ALREADY going from small to large, then drop back down to tiny. That doesn't make sense that way, so make it say:

Mustang™ Mini / I / II / III / IV / V Amplifiers

Hmmm...should I get a Mustang Mini II, or a Mustang Mini III and more importantly, does the Mustang Mini III fizz??

Actually they were not in order of size, but chronological order of release. The V is much smaller than the IV, unless you elect to include the cab in the heading.

Let's try this to reduce confusion:

Mustang Amplifiers: I / II / III / IV / V/ Mini

This is the most awesomest dialogue ever.

Yes, I think that would clear things up nicely. Good one.

You got it. Glad to know the Mustang III is not classified as a mini amp.

The heading:

Mustang™ I / II / III / IV / V / Mini Amplifiers

is misleading and the reason I posted the question.

I think wording:

Mustang™ I / II / III / IV / V and Mini Amplifiers

would be one way to help clear things up.

Thanks,

Ken

Really? I found it a very interesting 20 seconds of mine. I completely enjoyed it.

Now, Star Wars Episode I was 2.5 hours of my life that I'll never be able to get back...and I so wish I had them back...

Just thought I'd make a clarification to those who have an extra 10 seconds they don't mind not ever having again....

Star Wars Episode I is not actually the first Star Wars movie to be released, its the 4th in a series of 6 Episodes. And then they came out with the animated TV series The Clone Wars. So keeping with Fender's confusilated list format it should go something like this:

Star Wars IV / V / VI / I / II / III / Clone Wars Episodes

Sometimes you just have to be explicit. I vote for calling the forum "Fender® Mustang™ I Guitar Amplifier / Fender® Mustang™ II Guitar Amplifier / Fender® Mustang™ III Guitar Amplifier / Fender® Mustang™ IV Guitar Amplifier / Fender® Mustang™ V Guitar Amplifier / Fender® Mustang™ Mini Amplifier".

This way there's really no way to get confused.
