Yeah, and I'm not holding out much hope for it staying fizz-free. PATHETIC

How long have you had this one? My MIII was fizz free for 9 months before I noticed it. (But to be fair, I still don't notice it unless I try to induce it.)

I've had a Mustang 1,2 and now III. The first 2 I never tried to record with. I have some of this fizz when playing the amp but it doesn't usually bother me. This weekend I tried to record something for an online collaboration video and they was major fizz in all recordings. Used Ableton, Reaper and Audacity and all recorded with fuzz. Clean tones were better but anything distorted or driven was a mess. Played around with USB gain to no avail. Ended up having to record my bits with an Ipad and Ampkit. Very disappointing because I was really looking forward to using this amp both ways and now it looks like I shouldnt have sold my POD.

My Mustang III is now fizzing. This is my fourth one that has the fizz. It was good for two days. I am at my wits end with these amps and Fender in general.

@jwoertz

I have to ask ... how did you get locked into getting 4 of these things? Warranty service perhaps ... maybe they wouldn't refund your money and would only trade out for a new one?

Seems to me you've given Fender more than just a good change to do right by ya ... I'd be livid after going through all that ... I bet you are too ...

@KenB5

Because I can't find anything with the the flexibility as the Mustang III. If I could find a modeling amp with a decent footswitch, built-in tuner and a line out (or effects loop send to the board), I would definitely give up. The Super Champ X2 doesn't have the control during a gig, the Roland Cube 80 series sound sterile and I hate the EQ, the Line 6 stuff is just awful, the Vox VT+ series has no line out, so I am stuck.

My Mustang 3 has just started the fizz problem. It was born 11/2010. I purchased it used in 2012 with no fizz. So it took some 3 years to show up. Granted, I don't gig or play for hours every day. So thats a factor.

Guys, just ditch your ve1 Mustang amps and get the v2 series. I have been using a Mustang III v2 for a while now and it's been absolutely wonderful.
