Looks very interesting for home recording...

- 7 Watt digital amplifier
- Uses AC power supply (included) or six AA batteries
- 8 amp models
- 24 presets (additional presets including Artist presets available with free Fender FUSE(TM) software)
- Digital chromatic tuner
- Metal handle doubles as a tilt-back stand
- Two "quick access" presets can be selected with (optional) one-button footswitch
- Stereo headphone output for silent practice or line out
- USB connection for FUSE application and digital recording output

When will these be available at the shops/stores and how much for the 'optional'
footpedal' ???

Why not just add the optional footswitch and adjust the price
accordingly?

Sweetwater has the footswitch for $16.99.

In response to your question, not everyone has use for or needs the footswitch.

I'm looking for a small (mini) amp with some specific features (AC + battery power, on-board tuner, reverb, phaser, digital recording capability), and I'd love to consider the Mustang Mini. (I'd love to stick with Fender as my main amp is the SCXD and I love it!).

However, I can find very few reviews or videos featuring the Mustang Mini...Kinda odd for an amp that's been out for a couple months...

Anyways, I've narrowed the field down to:
Line 6 Micro Spider - 6W/6.5"/7# - $135
Fender Mustang Mini - 7W/6.5"/7.25# - $130
Roland Micro Cube - 2W/5"/7.3# - $119
Marshall MG2FX - 2W/6.5"/6.8# - $115
Vox Mini3 - 3W/5"/7.7# - $100

Any comments on this list? Any strong recommendations?

Thanks;
Ed

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago at Guitar Gallery...they only had one and said it was brand new. I love it so far. It does everything my Mustang I does, but in a portable package. I'm going on a business trip next week and taking it with me to use in the hotel. I found it also works great with my harmonica mic.

Good stuff!

Very cool. I hadn't tried it with a harp mic. I'm sure you'll enjoy the Mini. Let us know if you have any questions.
