The setup for the 2 button is in the utility menu, with the 4 button you just plug it in and it will do the functions corresponding with the mode you designate with the first button,,,,I think from memory.
Hope this helps,
Cheers
Tim

By default, when you plug in your 2-button switch, it will act like an Up/Down button, going through your presets up or down one at a time.

The 4 button has three modes. By default, it's set to stored preset. So the 2nd button will always go to Preset QA1 (Quick Access 1), the third QA2, and the fourth QA3. You can program which presets those are, though.

If you switch to mode 2, it will instead do the same thing that the 2-button switch does by default: cycle up and down through the presets. The 4th button will do a Bank selector, so instead of cycling one by one, it will cycle 10 by 10.

In mode 3, it will act to turn off effects. Button 2 will switch on/off a stomp box (overdrive, compressor, etc). Button 3 will switch on/off Modulation effects, such as reverbs and tremolos. Button 4 will switch on/off Delay effects

Read up on this section of the user's manual that came with your Mustang.

Gigged with my M3 for the first time last night. We are strictly a blues band, clean to dirty. Set up a Bassman, a Deluxe Reverb and a SuperSonic patch. In mode one assigned each to a button on the four button footswitch. On the Bassman and Deluxe and had the OD stompbox and the Tremelo stompbox effects. I assigned the two button switch to be an on/off switch for the two stompboxes. I don't switch patches in the middle of a song so I had the four button foot switch just sitting back by the amp and between songs would change which patch I wanted for the particular song. Kept the two button up by my mic so I could switch the effects in as needed.

Worked great the whole night and the M3 was just a tone monster.
