If what you posted was exactly what you did, you got things mixed up.

In order to perform a firmware update, you should start FUSE. Access the firmware update app (just like you did). When you get the message about holding the SAVE button, STOP!

Turn off your Mustang amplifier. Do nothing else but this. Leave the message up on FUSE.

Push down the Save button on your amp. Now, while holding the Save button down, turn the amp on.

At this point, FUSE will detect that the amp is in Firmware Update mode and will begin installing the update.

FUSE WILL TELL YOU WHEN THE UPDATE IS DONE. You'll usually see the Exit button on your amp lit up in white, if successful.

If that is the case, then you can turn your amp off again. Then turn it back on like normal.

This is how you do a proper update of a Mustang amp's firmware.

Fender reps, please feel free to correct any details.

Very accurate instructions.

Turk, are you still unable to get the amp working after following those instructions?

He guys Merry Christmas sorry for taking so long to reply was over seas.
Ive tried what FFXIhealer suggested but the amp is still not working ive formatted my pc installed all new Fender fuse software but when i connect the amp to pc with usb cable and open fender fuse it tells me no amp is connected so i cant do the firmware update again ive tried resetting the Factory settings like 100 times already but still broken. If i switch the amp on the save button flashes if i switch it on holding Exit the save button keeps flashing even if i hold it for 20 min. Pls help iam even considering to just go and buy a new one.

I apologize for the delay, Turk.

What version of Windows are you using? If Vista or 7, instead of left clicking FUSE to launch it, right-click on it and select Run As Administrator.
