Hi guys. This is such a bothersome subject for me. I either want some kind of adjustable way to tilt my amp back on the floor, which I can't find (only ways that have one tilt angle), or like Joe Bonamassa does and put a plexiglass panel in front of his amps. This seems like it would be the easiest thing to lug around, keeps the top of your amp straight upwards, yet deflects the sound upward from behind the panel, keeping the direct sound from slamming the audience in the face. Sometimes I turn my amp backwarsd toward the wall. That works great but then you need to see the panel on the amp with these modern amps.

Do any of you guys, instead of tilting your amp back use anything like Joe Bonamassa does? This is the way I want to go with things.

Just looking for more ideas to keep the direct speaker sound from hitting my audience, yet still keep the amp on the floor for the bass response. The open back MIII has no brace to put something behind it to lay it on and tilt it, so I am thinking some kind of sound blocker is the way to go, just set it in front of the amp and the direct sound is directed away and also sounds more filling and ambient. Wish i could get some ideas on how to make something that's easy to carry and easy to make. It would need to be probably a few inches bigger on each side than the MIII front. Some way t5o put some legs so it would stand up, yet this enough to be light weight and easy to lug around. Some thing like a large pedal board maybe, with legs on the edge slightly tilted to direct the sound up. Plexiglass may be the best material because you can see through it, and it wouldn't block sight of the amp, yet it ould block sound.

Anyone doing anything like this?

I use these with my Mustang III. They work well:

I also have this but I don't use it much. It's adjustable for height:

I like the legs, but you said in another post that they were only one angle after you installed them. I play many different places where the audience is right up on me, or way far off below a big stage. I need something adjustable for angle after it's installed. the sound blocker would be workable in all situations cause it sends you sound straight up every time.

There may be a multiple angle amp stand out there somewhere but so far I've not seen one. There used to be a Vox amp back in the sixties that came with a rolling stand and I think it allowed for multiple angles.

Standback. Gives you 4 different angles. Folds up and fits in the back of the amp. Weights about 1 pound.
