Hi folks,

did anybody ever recognized the problem I found this afternoon? The headphones-output on my Mustang-I has an anoying delay of some 10th seconds. It means you hear the pick hitting the string some time before you hear the tone. This is very confusing in practising! Plug in a cable to your stereo and not to headphones, you will immediatly hear what I mean. Or if not - then just my Mustang has this error :(

Somebody out there who has the same prob?

regards,

Frente

Uh, that's sad. So maybe this error apears only in my Mustang. What means there will be no workaround or firmware update on this topic... And I would have to bring it back to the shop for exchange ... and that's not possible because I bought the amp in Germany but live in Greece ... :(
On the other hand, I cannot imagine that it is an hardware-error. What hardware could produce by mistake some 10th seconds delay inbetween the preamp-out and the headphone-jack??? The timing of the output to the own speaker is absolut ok!
If I could supress the swiching-of of the speaker plugging in a cable to the phone-jack I could easyly record a soundfile for you to demonstrate the delay. Even people without any sense for rythm hear it easily.

Does maybe one of the fender-staff has any idea?

Regards,

Frente

I have the Mustang 1 and use headphones and I don`t have any problems. Even though you bought the amp in a different country than you live in, I would think that Fender would back their products. Try contacting them directly and see what they say.

Hey JPD,

That doesn't sound like anything we've seen before. If you haven't already, restore the amp to factory settings. If that doesn't work, update the firmware even if you already have the current version.
