Hello friends

Just playing here with my M3 :) and.. I came up with a doupt... Need a little help here.

I have this old… old… OLD… multi-effects Zoom4040 that I used to jam with. (http://www.google.com.br/url?sa=t&rct=j ... kg&cad=rja)

It has this nice volume and expression pedal that I am very used to gig with. So any chance to to make it dance with the M3?

My first thoughts were: Guitar > amp input jack! Amp > fx send > zoom4040 input > zoom4040 mono output > fx return > cool sound to the masses!

Is this the good way to go?

I plugged it all in and worked sexy good! sounds fine really (the zoom i left activated only with a clean channel and a delay controlled over the expression pedal). My only worry is that the volume control is ok but if I open it it goes very loud (even with the master very low) (afraid to go too loud on my new baby).

Any other suggestions or the config is ok?

Sorry if this sounds silly, but I never used fx send or return. My old set was: guitar > zoom4040 input > zoon4040 mono output > amp jack input > sound!

Thanks a lot :)

I use an ME-25 the same way. Since I can disable the amp/cab simulation on the ME-25 I can also put it between the guitar and Mustang (e.g., using overdrives).

My MIII is pretty loud, so I've never cranked it all the way either--but I do find that generally stacking amps doesn't sound that great, but you never know, you may find a sound you like doing that.

I suppose you could also put the MIII in the 4040's loop if you were so inclined.

Hi PITA, thanks for the info

I was concerned about the "extra" volume being outputted on the M3 master channel. I mean, with the volume pedal pressed to it's maximum on the 4040 I will have much more power being outputed on the m3 current master level than it would have without the 4040. So I lost track of what's the real power being outputted. I feel it is loud.. and can get louder... but where and "how loud" is this? :)

Also, the fx send and return connected to 4040's input and output mono respectively, is the right way to go?

My setup is: M3 fx send > 4040 input > 4040 mono output > M3 fx return. Guitar connected directly to the M3 input. Then I disable everything on the 4040 (pre-amp, eq, modeling, reverb) exept for expression delay. Leaving all modeling and effects work to the M3. I dount touch the 4040's fx send / return jacks.

Is it all ok?

Thanks alot :)
