Hi Guys

I Own a Fully Working and excellent condition Mustang IV and recently got myself a Fender Super Champ XD to use originally for home use and Now i am gonna use it for live gigs miked up through our P.A as it is a lot easier to transport to gigs.
Now if i sell the Mustang IV ( due to it is really heavy and getting harder for me to Lug around now) i will get a Mustang II so i can still record at home and also it will be there as a backup for live gigs also miked up..... and i can still get the great sounds out of it as i have done with the Mustang IV.
In other words it will be more practical to take my super champ xd and mustang II to gigs than the mustang IV ( I should have got the III in the first place as it is no so heavy )
So what are your opinions on this matter and does anyone maybe want my Mustang IV although in in the uk? if thats the way i go on this dilemma .............
Thanks in advance...

I'd go MIII not II because of the fuller on board control, easy access via LCD screen, better quality Celestion G12P 80 12" speaker, FX loop, more amp models, more effects and 100 user preset capacity (only 24 in the II). Very light and easy to transport, and more power at 100w (in case miking not possible) - not just more volume, but also more clean headroom and a fuller, clearer tone because of the better speaker and bigger cabinet. Plus you get the 2-button f/switch included & can add the 4-button (both together really making gigging easier) - can't do that with the II.

For me its just a complete no-brainer!

Where abouts are you in the UK and how much are you asking for the MIV complete with the 4-button f/switch? I'm assuming its 'fizz free'?

Rich

PS - For what its worth, at 47.5lbs the MIV is still way lighter than other 2x12 amps - my Vox Valvetronix AD120VTX is 58lbs and a Vox AC30 is about 73-77lbs depending on version/speakers!
