Tried ten times know to restore my presets that I've made not working please
tell me what I'm doing wrong. The nine presets that I've made are showing stored in Fuse, Preset folder in My Documents. Reset my new MIV to factory presets then I go to Preset Editor select computer right click on preset and save preset to Amp slect which number slot to put in and all is ok. Do all nine
00-08 all show up ok in amp drop down menue. Do a backup named (All Presets) backup works fine, look my documents Fuse Backups presets and 00-8 are all there with the names I gave them, plus the rest of the original presets
for a total of 100. Reboot Computer, amp and Fuse software reset amp to factory presets evrything okay try to restore my backup and all I get Is one Empty Preset and the rest factory presets I should explain that I put a Empty
which I downloaded here and placed in 99 and 9 which goes in between my nine so If I footswich to far up/down I wont hit a screacher for live perfomaces. Now once I backup I can still input my nine as I explained above but shouldn't they automaticall be included If there showin up In my backup preset folder? Should I be useing a diferent name when backing up? I really don't that matters If ther showing up in the backup folder. Please Help Thank You

As I was writeing this I thought maybe something was wrong or a glitch with the Empty presets that I downloaded and was putting before and after my nine.
So I restored amp to original and just put the nine in backed up, restored amp
to original presets tried to restore with my presets and all it did was duplicate 99
and told me ther was an error with it, that it was corrupted. Rebooted amp then it was ok but had two 99's and none of my presets. What is going on?

I was wondering If the memory lock on/off on the amp would be causeing this
just recieved both amps MIII and MIV so I'm not sure exactly what that function does. If someone can confirm I would be appreciative . Thank You
Will try to read some more about this function and see what I can Find out.

I just updated tp Fuse 2.4.1 and I had to Uninstall because it wouldn't even reconize or see my backup which was in my documents folder because I looked.I even did a clean install by uninstalling old version after I updated first to see If that would make a difference nothing. I'm glad to see someone is reading these posts I thought I might be posting In the wrong place. If anyone knows I am posting In the wrong place to get answers please let me know Thank You. Now I know I wasn't saveing my presets to my computer only to the amp, till someone opened my eyes. Once you save them to your computer thell show up in preset folder so you can either upload to Fuse website or load to amp which I did. Then made backup and they showed up in the backup folder in the slots that I applied them to, with the names I made.
Just when I restore amp to factory presets try to restore from backup It wont work. Shure I can go to them apply them from my preset folder one at a time,
but why do they show up in my backup and when I restore they don't. anybody have any answers? I read that another person mirrored his two amps
useing backup and restore and had no problem at all. Useing Win7 Fuse 2.4.0 Firmware 1.8
And after reading some more on the memory lock on/off function I think It Is mainly to protect you from saveing presets while your adjusting the settings on the amp by accident.

OK - there's 3 of us now. I picked up a MIII several days ago and I'm having the same problem. I'm using WinXP, Fuse 2.4 and firmware 1.8.

I had the same problem using a MIII with firmware 1.8 and Fuse 2.4 under Mac OS, the symptoms were the following:
- I tried to restore my most recent backup: no success although I did not get any error message.
- I restored the MIII to factory settings and tried again: same result.
- I tried to restore an older backup which I did with an earlier version of Fuse and of the firmware: this succeeded.
- I downloaded the most recent beta version of Fuse (2.4.1 ?): this software did not even recognize my most recent backup and, hence, did not present it for restore. However my older backup could be restored.
Consequently I suspected a problem in the backup/restore interaction between different combinations of firmware and Fuse versions. I then compared the content of my different backups and realized that the one that could not be restored used a different naming scheme of the 100 preset files in the "presets" folder, which were labeled <preset_name>.fuse.

I could resolve the problem by simply renaming the 100 preset files in 00.fuse, 01.fuse ... 99.fuse in accordance the naming scheme used in the presets folder of the backup that I could successfully restore. Thereafter my most recent backup was recognized by the beta version of Fuse and I could restore it to the MIII.

Hey Guys,

We've done some testing of the Backup and Restore functions. We rolled a fix into the latest 2.4.1 version of FUSE. Download that and let us know if you're still having problems.

After downloading Fuse 2.4.1 (for Mac in my case) I could indeed successfully restore the backups that were failing before.
