I am looking to purchase an amp. I thinking M II or III maybe the IV (way more then i need, but I am the type of person i rather have to much then not enough).
Here are my questions:
Can the Mustang not do everything the G-DEC can?
Are the G-DEC sound presets the same as the MUSTANG?
Are the MUSTAN & G-DEC the same AMPs cept the layout of panel, the SD card, and built in BackTracks?
Does the MUSTANG have a SD slot anywhere?
From what i have seen online and read the Mustang can also play MP3's(via FUSE) so you can play along? Is this ture?
Can you download the same G-DEC Back Tracks so you can use play-along capabilities with the MUSTANG via the Fuse Software and the Mustang?
I have heard there were probs with Fuzzyness and other things, then they released new firmwares that fixed these probs. Is this Ture? What firmware # are they at?

The G-DEC has 'backing tracks' feature, the Mustang, doesn't.

Umm, more somewhat, but the Mustang is a molding amp, meaning you can create a 'custom' amp. You may be able to do this with the G-DEC, but I'm not sure, I have a Mustang I.

No, IMO, they are totally different, the Mustang operates more like a 'real' guitar amp.

No

Well, the Mustang, can play MP3s, if a MP3 player is plugged in the Mustang AUX input or, you can use Fuse to play backing tracks.

The G-DECs can model tones and amps just like the Mustangs - they both use the same Fender Fuse software to do it, though the presets are not interchangeable. I own the old G-DEC 30, two new G-DEC 3 Thirty amps, a Mustang II and a Mustang V. They can all be used as guitar amps, 'cause that's what they are. Both have input jacks for mp3 players as well, but the 3 Thirty has the SC card slot for lots more creative uses.

The amps are similar in that they are both modeling amps that use the same Fender FUSE software. The G-DEC 3 is more of a learning tool than the Mustang amps. The native Band Track playback and the ability to play Band Tracks in different keys and tempos are things the Mustang amps don't have.
