Just need to know how to go about regerstering the Mustang IV when it comes
I asume it's the same process just need to know if I can use the one software I allready have installed for both. I would problably use the same presets and udate firmware the same. But I was wondering if the software works with serial number of the amp or is there a number of identification assocciated with the sowftware in the amp itself. Will I have to run a totaly diferent sofware program for each amp seperate? Any advice would be appreciated thank you.

Congrats!

I have an MIII and MIV too. You can use the same software for both. What is nice is that I have the same settings on both amps. Save your settings and then load them to your MIV when you get it.

As far as registration, it's the same process. I was told it was more to get your info than anything else, just make sure you keep your receipt in case you have any problems with it down the road. I bought my MIV first and them my MIII. I don't think I even tried to register my MIII. There is no serial number identification associated with the amps and software. You do need the serial number ti get the free software download, but you probably already have it for you MIII. That same software will work with your MIV without any hitch.

I have to say that I really like my MIV more than my MIII. The MIV had a much larger sound with the added speaker. But it also has the added weight.

Well thanks for the quick reply sounds good, I think my new amp is comming
today can't wait to see difference in sound. Gonna use tme MIII for rehersal
and MIV for playing out so I don't think the extra weight will matter I'll be to
excited when playing out again after 30 years it won't matter.

Congrats prkay on getting the IV - you will like it. I went into my local store wanting the III to be all I needed (to avoid the extra weight) but up against the IV I couldn't live with the III as a gigging amp. And a special congrats on gigging again. It took me 35 years to get back to it and I haven't looked back. It's good for the soul, I say. The IV has performed beautifully for me in live settings, especially with the 4 and 2 button switches.

Well thank you all, now, I regerstered it and updated the firmware to the same as my MIII rebooted and thought i would get the 9 presets I've saved in the MII
but I'm still getting factory presets on the MIV. So I thought the presets that I'v saved and changed where in my documets folder under presets with the rest of them? So the amp is eather not reading them from my computer or somethng. Now what is the easyist wasy to get them to my MIV so the'll be the same as my MIII, help please.

You can backup the MIII's Presets using the Backup function in the Utilities menu in FUSE. Then you can use the Restore option to get those Presets to your MIV.
