First I would like to say hello, this is my first post as a new Mustang III owner.
I've been a Fender amp & guitar owner for over 30+ years and after reading
many of posts on many sites about the Mustang III, I am very pleased with the amp so far. Purchesed the 4 button switch to go along with the 2 button, to have extra switching options, and the 4 button has very nice features the 2
button just duplicates some of the same. I thought I would have two more QA's
which I thought I read but I was wrong. After reading some posts about switching problems in live performances this would be a very nice feature to have a QA4 & QA5 on the 2 button switch for solo, volume boost, & being able to have two more presets set up would be great. Would solve many problems
in live perfomance to just switch QA4 for solo with volume boost or QA5 for a
rock solo. Hope this reaches the right people to help us live performers out.
This would make switching more pratical for solos and faster in live performances, Also would help sales for Fender Mustang III fans all around.

I just finished programming mine for just this reason. I only gig with my amp so I programmed each preset on my amp with a post gain compresser. Save the preset with the effect off and you can use the footswitch in mode 3. The 2 button will move up and down through the presets and the 4 button works as a stomp.

Button 2 - Compressor (boost)
Button 3 - Chorus/flanger
Button 4 - Delay

This will give you more boost than you need and when you want a real "80s" solo sound throw in the delay and chorus.

Thank You for the tip I'll try this, but are you saying you added post gain to all 100 presets or just the ones you use, and then turned them off before saveing? And then use the 2 button switch to go up & down, does that mean you have to go throu all 100 tracks to find the one you want? Or is there a way to use the two button switch to go up & down to just your favorites. I'm
just starting out with the Mustang III, 3 days into it, and any tips on programing,
saveing presets would be helpful. Thank You

Okay I think I figured out what your saying, set 2 button switch to QA1 & QA2
so now I have quick accesss to 2 presets on that pedal. Use mode 3 on the 4 button pedal as Stomp,Mod,Delay to increase vol or effects for that paticular
preset for soloing. But first I have to add gain or what ever effect I want on that particular preset turn them off and save preset before I add as one of the two I want to use. Is this correct? Sure would be nice if they update a QA4 & QA5 then we could have 5 favorites to store 3 for rythem and 2 for Leads, maybe they will do a firmware update so we could do this. This way we could have a totaly different sound for leads and not just a boost. But this should work for now, let me know if I'm follwing you correctly, thank you for you're help.

or you can program the 2 buttons up/down, so you'll have quick access to 8 preset: ex. qa1 = preset 5, by using the oter footswitch (up/down), you can reach preset 4 and 6

Okay steph2828 first of all thanks for all the help, now on your first post you said use the 4 button as QA's 1-4 which you must have typed a typo because
my first button is Tunner, QA's are 1-3 which gives me 3 presets, just confurming with you because I might have missed something. Then use the 2 button switch as stomp box which I can set compressor up high enough for solo. Is that correct?
Now on your second post you said if I have QA1=preset 5 the 2 button swith I can set to go up/down to get 4 & 6, but what If I dont like 4 & 6 presets I know you can download presets on my computer, can & how do you replace the factory installed ones and can you change the order of them? I have not
gotten to this point yet. Only had for 4 days and I'm trying to plan how I want to set things up before I screw things up. Thanks Again

OK you're right, the 4 button is qa' 1-3.
yes, i use the 2 buttons like this: 1st button with a post compressor ( save your preset with compressor off, so when you turn the presset on, the compressor will be off, and turn it on with the 1rst button) and the second button to control delay ( by pressing the utility button on your amp you'll be able to set up the 2 buttons.

2nd question: you can save any preset in any place.. just click on ''save'' and choose where you want it.

keep reading this forum, there a lot of really interresting topic... all the answers are there!

sorry guys for my poor english... there is no forum as good as this one in french!

This is great that I have some direction now. Did finally find topics on preset
saveing and replacing with others. But let me tell you about what happened
I tweeked 02 intro clean and saved it. I went to amp directory and showed I was the Author for that preset. I wanted to make a backup of all the Fender
presets on my other drive in case i wanted to restore them without haveing
to look them up individually, so I thought I wold just dowload and replace the
one that I tweeked. I downloaded and it was Authored by someone else. Before that I tried to restore by holding the exit button and shutting the amp
on and off like the post I read said, It might have restored the settings but It
still showed me as the author on that preset. So I had to uninstall Fender Fuse and went to my
C drive and deleted all Fender folders, reboot and reinstall Fender Fuse to
load all Fender fuse settings, now they all showed authored by Fender.
Made a copy of the preset folder on my D drive for backup. Now I'm ready
to start setting up. Thanks again for all the help.

You are on the right track..everyone has different stage habits and styles so program whatever is easiest. If you like a different tone for leads you could always just do sequential presets and use 1 up for your lead after each tone bank.
